Mohamed al-Deif commander-in-chief of al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas announced on Saturday morning the launch of &ldquoOperation Al-Aqsa Flood&rdquo in response to the Israeli occupation state’s crimes against the Palestinians and the escalating settler desecration of the Aqsa Mosque.
&ldquoWe announce the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and we affirm that the first strike that targeted the enemy’s positions and fortifications involved over 5000 rockets and projectiles” Deif said in a recorded speech broadcast by al-Aqsa satellite channel.
&ldquoThe enemy has desecrated the Aqsa Mosque &hellip and we already warned it&rdquo Deif said stressing that the commandership of al-Qassam Brigades decided to hold the occupation state accountable for its crimes.
&ldquoThe occupation state has committed hundreds of massacres against civilians and today the anger of al-Aqsa and the anger of our nation and brave fighters have burst out. This is your day to make the enemy understand that its time has ended&rdquo Deif added.
Deif called on every Palestinian who has a weapon to use it against the occupation its forces and settlers and urged the Arab and Muslim peoples to march towards Palestine to share in its liberation.
&ldquoBegin marching now towards Palestine do not let borders regimes or any restrictions deprive you of the honor of Jihad and participation in the liberation of al-Aqsa Mosque&rdquo he said.
