The deputy head of the Hamas Movement Saleh al-Arouri has said that the primary target of the Aqsa Flood Battle is to liberate the Palestinian lands and holy sites stressing that the battle will be escalating until its aim is achieved.
Al-Arouri told Al Jazeera TV Channel that the Aqsa Flood is not a hit-and-run operation but an all-out battle affirming that the Palestinian people will not stand idle while the Israeli occupation attacks the Al-Aqsa Mosque and desecrates the holy sites.
&ldquoAl-Qassam Brigades captured enough Israeli soldiers during an unprecedented attack against Israel to make Israeli authorities free all Palestinian prisoners in its jails&rdquo al-Arouri said adding that senior Israeli officers were among those captured.
Al-Arouri underlined that the fighting front is expected to expand adding that the Palestinian resistance is ready for worst-case scenarios including Israeli land invasion.
He urged the Palestinian people all over the occupied territories to engage in the battle calling on Arab and Muslim countries to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance.
Dozens of Israeli soldiers and settlers were killed and hundreds of others were injured during a major cross-border operation launched by Palestinian resistance fighters.
At least 198 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1610 others injured in Israeli air attacks launched on the Gaza Strip.
