Al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas has described the Israeli threats against Gaza and its people as a &ldquolosing game&rdquo and a &ldquobroken record&rdquo stressing that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood will continue in defense of al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian prisoners.
In a statement late on Saturday spokesman for the Brigades Abu Obeida said &ldquothe number of Israeli prisoners in Gaza is many times greater than what Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu thinks.&rdquo
Spokesman Abu Obeida pointed out that the captured Israelis are being held across the Gaza Strip and warned the Israeli occupation army of persisting in its attacks.
“What happens to the people of the Gaza Strip will happen to your prisoners so beware of miscalculation” the spokesman added.
&ldquoIsrael is now facing a deep crisis after witnessing the heroism of al-Qassam men” the spokesman said adding that Israeli soldiers fell before them &ldquolike locusts.&rdquo
On Saturday morning chief commander of al-Qassam Brigades Mohamed al-Deif announced the launch of a large-scale operation dubbed &ldquoAl-Aqsa Flood&rdquo against the Israeli occupation in response to its recent violations at the Aqsa Mosque.
According to the Hebrew media the death toll from the massive multi-front attack on Israel has risen to more than 300 and the number is likely to increase. At least 1590 Israelis have also been wounded many seriously.
In Gaza at least 232 Palestinians have been killed and 1700 have been wounded in Israeli air attacks.
