Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has sent a political memorandum about Operation Al-Aqsa Flood to Arab leaders and the secretary-general of the Arab League Ahmed Abul-Gheit.
In his memorandum Haneyya urged the Arab countries to adopt resolutions that protect the Palestinian people’s rights including their right to freedom and independence and to allocate budgets to support the Gaza population.
&ldquoOur people who have aspirations for freedom and independence have faced since 1948 grave violations and attacks at the hands of Israeli leaders soldiers and settlers. These violations affected all aspects of Palestinian life&rdquo Haneyya said.
The Hamas official warned that &ldquothe Palestinian cause has been facing an existential challenge that threatens its present and future after the Zionist extreme right ascended to power in the occupation state.&rdquo
He urged all the Arab leaders to urgently intervene to stop Israel’s crimes and violations that exceeded all the rules of the international law including the crime of occupation itself that deprived the Palestinian people of their right to self-determination.
