Al-Aqsa Flood battle entered on Thursday its sixth day amid ongoing clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli forces in different sites in 1948 occupied Palestine and rocket fire from the Gaza Strip.
According to news reports the Israeli occupation army admitted last night that there were fierce clashes with Palestinian gunmen in Zikim Ashkelon and other areas.
Meanwhile the Israeli medical authorities announced that the death toll from Palestinian attacks climbed to 1300 people while 2900 others were injured.
Israeli military officials also said that 220 officers and soldiers had been killed since the current fighting started last Saturday.
In a related development al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas said that it fired a fresh volley of rockets at Tel Aviv on Thursday morning in response to the ongoing Israeli attacks on civilians in Gaza.
On Wednesday evening al-Qassam Brigades announced that it had bombed Haifa City in northern Israel with an R160 missile which is locally made and has a range of 160 km.
This was the first time that al-Qassam Brigades bombed Haifa City which is approximately 150 km away from the Gaza Strip since the start of the current round of fighting.
Al-Qassam Brigades also fired yesterday barrages of rockets at different Israeli areas including Tel Aviv Ashkelon Beersheba Ashdod and Ben Gurion Airport and attacked Israeli soldiers and army vehicles in eastern Gaza with two suicide drones.
Other resistance groups also carried out operations behind the enemy lines and fired dozens of rockets at Israeli settlements and cities around Gaza.
