A number of Egyptian soldiers were injured on Sunday afternoon when an Israeli tank bombed their post near the Karam Abu Salem border crossing in the east of Rafah.
According to the Egyptian media an Israeli tank fired a projectile at a watchtower belonging to the Egyptian border guard forces in Rafah injuring nine soldiers.
Sirens of ambulances were heard near the Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza following the Israeli attack.
A spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army claimed that the Israeli tank accidentally fired a projectile towards an Egyptian army post adding that the incident was being investigated.
