Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said Wednesday that what is happening in the Gaza Strip is genocide.
“It’s not a war; it’s a genocide that has killed nearly 2 thousand children who have nothing to do with this war; they are victims of this war. And frankly I don’t know how a human being is capable of war knowing that the result of that war is the death of innocent children” he declared.
“What is currently happening in the Middle East is serious and it’s not a question of discussing who is right or who is wrong who fired the first shot and who fired the second” he added.
For her part Acting Spanish Minister of Social Rights Ione Pellara has called on European countries to sever diplomatic relations with Israel and impose an arms embargo and economic sanctions on it.
Pellara said in a blog post on X platform “Let us move. It is still possible to stop genocide” referring to the Israeli massacres in the Gaza Strip.
She called on the European countries to take measures against Israel namely severing diplomatic relations with it and decisively imposing economic sanctions.
Pellara called for an arms embargo and for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and all other political leaders who bombed civilians to be brought to the International Criminal Court.
