Head of the Government Media Office in Gaza Salama Marouf has affirmed that US President Biden’s skepticism about reports issued from Gaza on the number of victims of the genocide being committed over the past 20 days in Gaza is encouraging the “Israeli occupation authority (IOA) to commit more crimes and massacres against our people.”
In a press release on Thursday Marouf said that Biden’s statement is part of the US policy of giving the green light to the IOA to commit more crimes and massacres against the Palestinian people. “It also goes in line with the unlimited American support of the Nazi Israeli occupation since the beginning of its aggression which makes the US a key partner in carrying out all crimes which are currently committed against the Palestinians in Gaza” he added.
The Palestinian official pointed out that the US President ignores the fact that the release of reports of casualty numbers and the overall humanitarian situation is not confined to official Palestinian authorities only but are also issued and reinforced by international institutions and bodies which he said are completely consistent with the Ministry of Health’s reports.
Marouf also stated that Biden seemingly forgets that the Israeli crimes and massacres are being carried out in front of the entire world with media demonstrating innocent civilian victims mostly children and women all murdered with American-made weapons and ammunition.
He stressed that this is an obvious attempt to divert the attention from the Israeli atrocities being watched by all the people around the globe.
“Let everyone who doubts these numbers know that we are seeking the highest levels of accuracy and responsibility in counting the numbers of martyrs and specifying and checking their data. Yet we have not listed the numbers of those missing under the rubble who are in hundreds despite the fact that there is no hope for them to be still alive. Many others have also been buried by their families without being recorded in the death toll. This means that the actual numbers of martyrs exceed those announced” Marouf said.
He emphasized that this position reflects the US absolute bias to the IOA in its aggression which requires a responsible position from the international community to stop this genocide carried out under US auspices.
For his part the spokesman for the Ministry of Health Ashraf Al-Qudra affirmed that the Palestinian martyrs are not mere numbers as every victim has his or her own humanitarian story that cannot be ignored.
“We will announce in detail and to the whole world the true story of the genocidal war launched by the IOA against our people since October 7” Qudra said.
Addressing those who doubt the truth of the numbers of Palestinian casualties resulting from the Israeli aggression on Gaza Qudra added “You should have held accountable those who committed genocide and war crimes and you should have stopped supporting them.”
This morning the Ministry of Health announced that the death toll of the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip had amounted to 7028 martyrs including 2913 children 1709 women and 397 elderly people in addition to 18484 citizens sustaining various injuries since October 7.
In a press conference on Thursday Qudra explained that the IOA committed 43 massacres in the past hours claiming the lives of 481 martyrs mostly of those displaced to the southern Gaza Strip which the IOA claimed to be safe.
“The IOA deliberately committed 731 massacres against Palestinian families claiming the lives of 5224 martyrs since October 7 whereas a large number of victims are still under the rubble” Qudra added.
