A delegation of the Hamas Movement arrived in Moscow on Thursday evening to discuss the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The delegation was headed by the Movement’s senior political member Moussa Abu Marzouk and included Hamas official Dr. Bassem Naim and the Movement’s representative in Moscow.
The delegation met with Mikhail Bogdanov Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and President’s Special Representative for the Middle East.
Hamas’s delegation “praised the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the efforts of active Russian diplomacy and stressed the need for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities towards the crime of genocide committed by the Zionist government.”
The delegation also stressed the Palestinian right to freedom self-determination return and resistance by all possible means.
For his part Bogdanov expressed his country’s position in support of the Palestinian people and renewed its efforts to achieve a ceasefire opening the crossings and bringing in humanitarian aid.
