The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said on Sunday that Israel threatened to bomb the Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza and demanded an “immediate evacuation.”
In a statement posted on X the Red Crescent said they received “serious threats from the Israeli occupation army to immediately evacuate Al-Quds Hospital in the Gaza Strip as it is going to be bombarded.”
According to Palestinian health officials there are more than 400 patients in Al-Quds Hospital as well as about 12000 civilians who took refuge in the facility and a number of medical personnel.
15 out of 35 hospitals in Gaza have become out of service because of the fuel crisis and their exposure to destruction or damage.
Earlier Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari did not rule out the possibility of attacking Al-Shifa Hospital the largest medical complex in the Gaza Strip. “In this war all options are on the table” he said.
The Israeli army justifies its attacks on hospitals by claiming that they are used by Hamas or there are tunnels beneath them.
