Massacre in Tel al-Hawa

The Palestinian Civil Defense reported on Monday that the Israeli attacks on the Tel al-Hawa area south of Gaza City constituted a “massacre and a genocide.”

Mahmoud Basal the spokesman for the Civil Defense said during a press conference “The occupation has wiped out the side streets and we do not have the ability to reach and what is happening in Tel al-Hawa is a genocide.”

He added “Hundreds of bombs are falling on Tel al-Hawa and we are facing great difficulty in our work. The entire surroundings of Al-Quds Hospital Street 8 and Street 10 have been targeted.”

Basal continued “When we approached to provide assistance we were targeted so we left the area.”

For its part the Government Media Office stated that “what is happening in the Tel al-Hawa area and the surroundings of Al-Quds Hospital is a complete war crime that requires urgent action from the international community before it is too late.”

Israeli warplanes launched a series of intense airstrikes on the Tel al-Hawa area and the surroundings of Al-Quds Hospital causing widespread destruction in the area and resulting deaths and injuries.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has not released any details regarding the number of casualties and injuries as a result of the Israeli airstrikes on the Tel al-Hawa area.

For the past 24 days the occupation army has been conducting intensive aerial bombardment on residential neighborhoods in Gaza resulting in the death of 8306 Palestinians including 3457 children and 2136 women according to the Ministry of Health.

In the West Bank 122 Palestinians have been killed since October 7th and the Israeli army is carrying out a widespread campaign of arrests that has affected approximately 2000 Palestinians according to official Palestinian sources.

On the other hand Al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas continued to confront limited Israeli incursions in several areas of the Gaza Strip through ambushes clashes and direct confrontations during which they targeted several vehicles with Al-Yasin projectiles.

Al-Qassam Brigades announced that its fighters destroyed an Israeli vehicle east of “Erez” with an explosive device and two “Al-Yasin 105” projectiles.

In a statement Al-Qassam Brigades announced that its fighters opened fire from one of the ambushes towards the infiltrating vehicles west of Al-Tawam in the northern part of Gaza Strip. They engaged in clashes and targeted three Israeli vehicles with “Al-Yasin 105” projectiles.

The Al-Qassam Brigades also targeted an Israeli infantry force near “Karm Abu Salem” crossing with mortar shells.

After midnight Al-Qassam stated that its fighters targeted Israeli occupation vehicles with “Al-Yasin 105” projeciles as part of their response to the infiltrating forces from two axes in Gaza.

On Monday evening the Al-Qassam Brigades announced that they were engaged in armed clashes with the infiltrating occupation forces in the northwestern part of Gaza.

In a brief statement at 18:06 local time Al-Qassam Brigades stated that their fighters were engaged in armed clashes with the occupation forces in the northwestern part of Gaza.

At 16:45 local time Al-Qassam Brigades reported that they had shelled the infiltrating occupation vehicles in the northwestern part of Beit Lahia (north of the Strip) with mortar shells.

They added that their fighters ambushed the infiltrating occupation forces in the northwestern part of Beit Lahia attacking them with “Yasin 105” projectiles and machine guns under sniper cover.

The Israeli army tanks had blocked Salah al-Din Street in the southeast of Gaza City after infiltrating during the early morning hours into an exposed area separating Gaza from the central governorate before being forced by the resistance to retreat towards the separation fence.

The Al-Qassam Brigades announced that they targeted an infiltrating Israeli armored carrier in the Zaitoun neighborhood east of the Gaza Strip.
