The spokesman of Hamas Abdel-Latif al-Qanoua said that Israeli occupation leaders “must take heed of the message of the captives held in Gaza before it’s too late.”
Al-Qanoua stressed in a statement on Monday evening that expanding the ground operation in Gaza may put the lives of captives in danger and only Israel will be to blame for the repercussions of this criminal operation.
He affirmed that Al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas has succeeded in confronting Israeli occupation forces (IOF) who attempted a limited advancement into the besieged enclave from several fronts.
For his part the Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad affirmed that the Al-Qassam Brigades are strongly resisting attempts by the IOF to advance on the ground in the northern Gaza Strip.
“Al-Qassam Brigades had successfully repelled the Israeli ground invasion. Gaza would be a graveyard for the IOF” he said.
Hamad’s remarks came in a press conference that was held in the Lebanese capital Beirut. He called on Arab and Islamic countries to use all means to pressure the Israeli occupation authority to halt its aggression on Gaza.
“It is time to make a bold decision in Arab and Islamic countries to cut all ties with the occupying entity” he said.
The Hamas leader asserted that the IOF’s ground incursion attempts into Gaza demonstrate its failure emphasizing that the fighters have inflicted significant losses on the IOF seeking to advance on land.
Hamad also mentioned that 42% of the martyrs in Gaza are children and 1600 women have been killed during the aggression which confirms that the IOF is indiscriminately killing Palestinians.
He revealed that the IOF has committed more than 880 massacres against Gazan families so far targeted 47 mosques and three churches and caused 11 hospitals to go out of service due to the ongoing aggression.
Hamad stressed that the IOF is committing war crimes emphasizing the necessity of punishing and holding Israel accountable for these crimes.
He reiterated his confidence in the strength and resilience of the Palestinian people at home emphasizing that they will win this battle.
He also pointed out that the Israeli airstrikes continue everywhere resulting in a constant rise in the number of martyrs amid threatening to bomb more hospitals. 203 schools have been damaged or completely destroyed especially those sheltering the displaced citizens.
For his part the Hamas senior leader in Lebanon Osama Hamdan stressed that any ideas or proposals that do not call for ending the occupation and giving back Palestinians their legitimate rights will not work.
In his statement at the press conference Hamdan said: “Netanyahu is afraid of failure and post-war developments. Therefore he is making the scene complicated by carrying out more crimes.”
The Hamas official concluded by confirming that al-Qassam Brigades have successfully destroyed at least six Israeli military vehicles over the past hours while the IOF has failed to accomplish any achievements.
