Saturday 4-November-2023

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night and at dawn Saturday at least 55 Palestinian citizens including two women during raids in the West Bank.

According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) the IOF kidnaped about 25 citizens from al-Fawwar refugee camp in al-Khalil. Some of the detainees were released later.

Israeli soldiers reportedly desecrated Muaad Ibn Jabal Mosque in al-Fawwar camp and placed an Israeli flag on its minaret.

The IOF also stormed Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil and threatened to demolish its grand mosque if it was used to urge local residents to participate in marches and rallies in support of the Palestinian resistance. Israeli soldiers also put up Israeli flags on some buildings in the town.

PPS said that the IOF ransacked homes and opened fire at citizens during its raids in al-Fawwar camp and Beit Ummar town in al-Khalil.

In Ramallah the IOF stormed Ni’lin town and kidnaped a young man and a woman identified as Siham al-Khawaja to pressure her brother to turn himself in.

In Nablus a large number of Israeli troops stormed Balata refugee camp and blocked its entrances before clashing with local youths. Three citizens were reportedly kidnaped by the IOF from the camp.

In Jenin armed clashes broke out between resistance fighters and Israeli forces in Jaba town.

Local sources said that the IOF raided homes in Jaba town at the pretext of looking for wanted citizens adding that four citizens were kidnaped following raids on homes.
