Ismail Haneyya the head of the Political Bureau of Hamas saluted the masses that gathered in Washington and the large crowds that took to the streets in Western capitals and cities in solidarity with the Palestinian people and demanding an end to the genocide in Gaza.
Haneyya said “These crowds which moved in the tens and hundreds of thousands from various nationalities to demonstrate affirm that the peoples of the world without exception have erupted in anger against the occupier and its brutality.”
He called on the American administration and the countries supporting the aggression to listen to the voice of their people.
The Hamas leader emphasized that the peoples of the world have spoken freedom for Palestine and resistance is legitimate and the occupation will eventually come to an end.
Washington and several European cities witnessed massive and angry demonstrations on Saturday rejecting the Israeli aggression on Gaza which has so far resulted in the deaths of over 9000 civilian martyrs 22000 injuries displacement of most of the population and the destruction of homes hospitals and schools.
Despite the official European and American positions in support of Israel demonstrations condemning the Israeli war crimes and genocide in the Gaza Strip took place and demanding an immediate halt to them.
In Washington DC protesters and demonstrators rallied at the Freedom Square during a march to support the Palestinians and demanded an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
The French news agency reported that thousands gathered in Washington under the slogan “Freedom for Palestine.”
These demonstrations come a day after the American House of Representatives approved a draft law to transfer more weapons and aid to Israel.
