The Hamas Movement has warned that the Gaza Strip is facing dire water scarcity accusing the Israeli occupation regime of cutting off water supplies as a mass punitive measure aimed at pressuring the civilians and forcing them to leave their homes and areas.
“The occupation state cut off all the water supplies to the Strip especially to Gaza City and the North Gaza Governorate which has forced citizens to drink unsafe water after the occupation army bombed the remaining water tanks with American missiles and aircraft” Hamas said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Movement called on the UN and the concerned international parties to “put an end to this crime against humanity that leads to genocide.”
It called for immediate action to enable Gaza to restore its water supplies and provide every support for the civilians in the Strip especially in Gaza City and the northern areas.
