Al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas said that it was about to release 12 captives who hold foreign passports recently but the Israeli occupation government obstructed its efforts in this regard.
“We still confirm that we are ready to release them but the situation on the ground and the life-threatening Israeli attacks prevent that” al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement on Tuesday.
On November 4 the Brigades affirmed that 60 Israeli hostages had been killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since October 7 adding that 23 of them were still buried under the rubble.
“It seems we cannot reach them due to the ongoing brutal aggression by the occupation forces against Gaza” spokesman for the Brigades Abu Obeida said at the time.
