The death toll from Israeli bombardments in the Gaza Strip has risen to over 10569 including 4324 children and 2823 women the health ministry in the embattled coastal enclave stated on Wednesday.
In a news conference held on Wednesday afternoon spokesman for the health ministry Ashraf al-Qudra said that the number of the wounded climbed to over 26475 people.
Al-Qudra pointed out that 241 more Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza during 27 massacres committed within the past 24 hours adding that 49 percent of the new victims were from southern Gaza which the Israeli occupation army claims to be a safe area.
The spokesman also said that the health ministry received 2550 reports of missing persons including 1350 children who are still buried under the rubble.
Every day the Israeli army escalates its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip which has been under relentless bombardment since a cross-border operation by Hamas’s armed wing al-Qassam Brigades on October 7.
Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people basic food fuel water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade.
