Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday destroyed the water desalination plant west of Khan Younis aggravating the suffering of the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip who have already been lacking access to healthy drinking water.
The IOF has deliberately bombed the only water plant that supplies drinking water to the residents of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip.
In light of the ongoing relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip targeting civilians and infrastructure the Gazans have been obliged to drink only salty and polluted water.
Oman funded the construction of the desalination plant in 2019. It has a production capacity of 12000 liters per day.
