The Hamas Movement affirmed on Thursday that the Israeli occupation army committed a “brutal war crime” when it stormed and attacked Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.
In a news conference held in Beirut senior Hamas spokesman Osama Hamdan described the Israeli army’s break-in at Al-Shifa Hospital as a “clear violation against a health facility protected by the Fourth Geneva Convention.”
Hamdan said that the Israeli forces tampered with all the hospital’s departments its pharmacy and medicine storeroom and damaged its magnetic resonance device.
“After 20 hours of attack on all the hospital’s departments the spokesman for the occupation army came out as usual with a weak and ridiculous story saying we found several pieces of Kalashnikov rifles a laptop a military uniform and old shoes” Hamdan underlined.
Hamdan described what happened at Al-Shifa Hospital as a “pathetic charade prepared and used by the occupation army to cover up the weakness of its allegations.”
“We have been calling on the UN and international organizations for two weeks to form an international committee to visit the hospitals and expose the Israeli lies about them because we are aware that the Israeli occupation will resort to deception lying and fabricating stories” the Hamas official said.
He held US president Joe Biden directly responsible for the Israeli war crimes against Gaza hospitals and all the crimes that had been committed against children women and defenseless civilians stressing that the Palestinians in Gaza are killed with American weapons and the connivance of Biden and his administration.
