Spokesman for the health ministry Ashraf al-Qudra has said that the Israeli occupation army has turned Al-Shifa Medical Complex into a war zone warning that the situation is extremely critical there.
In press remarks published by Al-Ray news agency on Thursday spokesman Qudra talked about the latest developments inside the hospital after the Israeli occupation forces stormed it and embarked on destroying it gradually.
Qudra said that there are ongoing Israeli digging destruction and search activities inside Al-Shifa Complex adding that the hospital was not provided with any quantity of fuel for its generators.
The spokesman also said that the Israeli forces gathered the bodies of the civilians that were in the hospital’s main courtyard took them to an unknown place destroyed all the parked vehicles outside and refused to allow anyone to leave the facility.
The spokesman affirmed that one of the female kidney patients died because of the failure to operate the dialysis machines in the hospital.
“There is no food water or milk for children in Al-Shifa Hospital which includes 650 patients and about 7000 displaced people” he said.
“The medical crews patients and displaced people are fighting death due to the unavailability of any basic life needs” he added.
He called for urgent action to alleviate the human suffering of all those inside Al-Shifa Complex.
