Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire at two Israeli cars near the West Bank town of Zawiya in Salfit and withdrew from the area on Sunday evening.
According to local sources the Israeli occupation forces imposed a lockdown on the Salfit district and parts of the Qalqilya district following the shooting incident.
The IOF also closed the Zawiya Bridge in the area and set up several checkpoints blocking the entrances to towns and major road junctions.
Eyewitnesses said that two settler cars sustained damage in the shooting operation.
