Erdogan: The Islamic world should move to end Israel’s war on Gaza

Turkish President Recep Erdogan warned on Tuesday that the fall of Gaza would constitute a deep wound for the unity of the Islamic world urging the Islamic countries to raise their voices against the Israeli occupation.

Talking about the blockade on Gaza Erdogan emphasized the need for a comprehensive strategy involving all members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to help the Gaza Strip.

He called for using every possible economic political diplomatic sociological and cultural means to establish a ceasefire deliver aid to Gaza and rebuild it after the war ends.

“Breaking the blockade [on Gaza] cannot be achieved through one or two countries but through the steps and strategies created by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League” Erdogan told journalists on his return flight from Algeria.

Erdogan pointed out that almost all the European countries showed passivity towards Israel’s genocidal crimes in Gaza and did not take any action to stop its daily massacres.

“The Islamic world should not remain silent on this aggression. The fall of Gaza would mean a deep wound to the unity and solidarity of the Islamic world” Erdogan emphasized.

Erdogan further described Israel’s attacks on Gaza as “state terrorism” and “a crime against humanity” as well as “genocide.”

The president expressed his hope that the current great pains and griefs the world feels for Gaza would be “the labor pains of a Palestinian state and peace that the region has longed for years.”

He said that Turkiye would work for the continued transfer of Gazan patients to his country and that he would discuss this issue during his intended visit to Egypt.
