A truce between Israel and Hamas in Gaza will start on Friday at 7 am local time a spokesman for Qatar’s foreign ministry said on Thursday.
The Qatari official Majed al-Ansari confirmed in a press conference in Doha the reception of the name list of civilians to be released from Israeli and Palestinian sides.
The first batch of hostages in Gaza (13 individuals) will be released at 4pm on Friday he announced.
Over a period of four days ceasefire will be enforced on the ground and in the air with the suspension of aviation to secure the release of hostages.
“Hamas is expected to release 50 Israelis over a period of four days during the truce which is renewable” Ansari said.
“Our aim is that this humanitarian truce would lead to a lasting ceasefire and permanent peace” he added.
