On the second day of the humanitarian truce Palestinian ambulance and civil defense crews on Saturday recovered many bodies of Palestinian martyrs some of them decomposed or charred in different areas of the Gaza Strip.
According to local sources ambulance and civil defense crews pulled out a number of charred dismembered and decomposed bodies of civilians from under the rubble of bombed buildings in al-Shuja’iya neighborhood east of Gaza City.
Video footage circulated on the internet showed a number of decomposed bodies scattered outdoors in streets and destroyed neighborhoods or inside hospitals including the Indonesian Hospital.
Before the ceasefire started rescue and medical crews failed to reach those victims.
The civil defense authority in Gaza appealed to the Arab countries to provide its rescue crews with the equipment needed to recover bodies of victims from under the rubble of buildings.
The civil defense said that its crews returned to work in eastern areas of Gaza to evacuate bodies of martyrs from there.
