A Palestinian citizen was shot dead on Thursday after he rammed his car into Israeli soldiers and wounded two of them near the illegal settlement of Beka’ot in the northern Jordan Valley.
According to the Hebrew media, Israeli soldiers opened fire at the Palestinian driver after he carried out a car-ramming operation at the Beka’ot Checkpoint in the Jordan Valley, injuring two of them lightly.
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) prevented an ambulance from approaching the wounded driver in the area to provide him with medical assistance and left him to bleed to death.
Following the incident, the IOF closed the military checkpoints in the east of Nablus and the northern Jordan Valley and tightened its security measures in those areas.
