Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched at dawn Thursday a large-scale raid and arrest campaign across the West Bank, resulting in confrontations and clashes with resistance fighters.

The arrests primarily targeted ex-detainees, Palestinian resistance figures, and Gazan workers.

In Nablus, the IOF stormed the Old City after Israeli special forces, disguised in civilian outfits, sneaked into the city. Four Palestinians were injured in clashes that broke out on the site, according to local sources.

The IOF called on more reinforcements who besieged a house in Al-Hileh neighborhood amid heavy gunfire. Three young men were rounded up before the IOF retreated from the city, the sources added.

Two of the wounded, who were shot by Israeli live bullets, as well as two others, who were injured with shrapnel, were all taken to hospital.

In Bethlehem, five citizens including three workers from Gaza were arrested after Israeli troops stormed and searched their houses.

In al-Khalil, two brothers were arrested after IOF broke into their home and wreaked havoc inside it. The forces also blocked traffic in southern al-Khalil, erected road checkpoints, and seized records of surveillance cameras of commercial shops and houses.

Meanwhile, heavily armed soldiers escorted by military vehicles and bulldozers raided Tulkarem city and its two refugee camps (Nur shams and Tulkarem), arrested five citizens and destroyed infrastructure.

The arrests included a young man, a 16-year-old child and a 52-year-old man. One of the arrested was assaulted violently before being arrested.

As a result, clashes broke out amid Israeli intense shooting towards the inhabitants of Tulkarem city and its camps.

The IOF besieged Thabet Thabet Hospital and blocked traffic including the movement of ambulance cars and medical personnel, while snipers were deployed on houses’ rooftops. Residents were detained for hours inside their homes.

Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers leveled roads causing gross damage to public facilities and cutting off of electricity.

This has been reported as the second IOF incursion into Nur Shams refugee camp since October 7.

Moreover, Israeli troops arrested last night a number of workers coming from Gaza in Faroun town, south of Tulkarem. They were arrested from their residential apartments in the eastern neighborhood in the city.
