The Palestinian health ministry in Gaza said on Saturday evening that 210 martyrs and 2,300 wounded citizens were evacuated to hospitals in the embattled coastal enclave, while a large number of victims are still buried under the rubble or lying on roads.
“During the past hours, the Zionist occupation committed 20 horrific massacres and exterminated entire families,” spokesman for the health ministry Ashraf al-Qudra told a news conference.
“We have received dozens of appeals from citizens in residential neighborhoods and schools, including the Khalifa School in northern Gaza, where the occupation committed a heinous massacre that claimed the lives of dozens and wounded many others who will bleed to death,” spokesman Qudra said
“The displaced people there (the school) are in a catastrophic situation. They have no water, food and medical treatment,” Qudra added.
The spokesman said that the Israeli occupation army attacked an ambulance while it was trying to evacuate wounded citizens in the area of the Gaza European Hospital in Khan Yunis (southern Gaza), which led to the injury of two paramedics and damaged the vehicle, adding that 57 ambulance had been targeted by Israeli strikes since the war started.
The spokesman pointed out that the new Israeli massacres raised the death toll in Gaza to 17,700 martyrs and the number of the wounded civilians to 48,780.
He said that the pregnant women in northern Gaza are threatened with death because they cannot reach Al-Awdah Hospital to receive medical care.
“The Israeli crimes and the genocide of the Gaza Strip population have gone beyond description and the limits of reason. The occupation seeks to end the Palestinian presence with inhumane American and European support,” he underscored.
