The Government Media Office has called for the entry of thousands of tons of aid sent from dozens of countries to assist the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which are stacked on the other side of the Rafah border crossing.
In a statement on Wednesday, the office stated that these tons of aid have been present for weeks on the other side of the Rafah crossing and have not yet been allowed to enter, unfortunately. Hundreds of tons of aid have been damaged and rendered unusable.
The Office emphasized the urgent need to immediately and urgently deliver this aid to the Gaza Strip as soon as possible, as the situation in the Gaza Strip is catastrophic and cannot tolerate further delays and procrastination in delivering the aid.
It pointed out that the people of Gaza are suffering from severe shortages of food, water, and medicine, warning that Gaza is approaching famine more than ever before, with reports from the northern governorate of Gaza indicating signs of famine among thousands of children.
GMO warned that the Gaza Strip daily requires 1,000 trucks of supplies and real assistance, such as baby milk, relief and ration supplies, basic goods for markets, medical equipment, rescue and civil defense machinery.
It stressed that the Gaza Strip daily needs one million liters of fuel (1,000,000 liters of fuel daily) to attempt to salvage what can be saved in rehabilitating and operating vital facilities such as bakeries, water wells, drinking desalination stations, and other important facilities.
GMO warned the international community, the United States, and all international organizations of the danger of their positions aligning with the Israeli policy of starving, thirsting, and killing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
It held them fully responsible for this ongoing crime and reminded them that their practices violate international law, international humanitarian law, the Geneva Convention, and all international conventions and norms.
