Hamas Movement denounced the arrest of Palestinian Red Crescent Society’s employees in Jabalia refugee camp and the continuation of the detention of about 100 health personnel from hospitals that were destroyed in the northern Gaza Strip, saying that such an act amount to a war crime and exposes Israel’s fascism.

In a statement on Friday, Hamas called on the United Nations and international health and human rights organizations to fulfil their legal obligations and moral responsibilities in protecting medical facilities and staff, and to put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to immediately release the doctors and health personnel.

Hamas also said that Israel and its supporters, led by the US administration, must be held accountable for carrying out field executions and war crimes against innocent civilians in absolute disregard of international and humanitarian law.

The Movement decried the Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) liquidations and executions of entire families in the northern Gaza Strip.

The statement quoted testimonies about the IOF carrying out executions against civilians in front of their families, including women and children, after storming and taking over their houses.

In another statement, Hamas Movement condemned the IOF’s enforcement of tight restrictions on Palestinians’ access to Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Friday and assaulting worshipers as part of the Israeli comprehensive war against the Palestinian people, their land, and sanctities.

Hamas called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the League of Arab States to take serious and effective action to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque as well as other Islamic and Christian holy sites in face of Judaization projects and Israeli violations.
