Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan has affirmed that the Israeli occupation regime has failed to achieve its aggressive goals in the Gaza Strip, stressing that there will be no negotiations over prisoner swaps before the war ends.
“The Zionist terrorism will not break our people’s will, steadfastness and resistance, nor will it succeed in achieving any of its aggressive goals,” Hamdan told journalists in a news conference held on Saturday evening in Beirut.
Hamdan said that the Israeli war cabinet’s threat to eliminate the Palestinian resistance in Gaza are empty and reflects its bankruptcy, adding that Israel’s claims about war achievements in Gaza are “nothing but terrorism, killing and massacring of civilians, children and women, and destruction of all elements of human life.”
“For the 78th day, the Zionist occupation continues its genocidal war against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, with American support and weapons and in the midst of international silence and failure to stop it,” Hamdan said.
The Hamas official emphasized the need for the Israeli occupation government and its supporters to end their criminal aggression against Gaza if they want to receive their prisoners alive.
He underlined that the strategy used to defeat Hamas had collapsed and failed, describing his Movement and its armed wing as “much stronger than any expectations.”
“Netanyahu and his Nazi government are stuck in a war with no horizon, and their defeated army is suffering severe losses, sinking deeper into the sands of Gaza. Netanyahu, deluded by his attempts to end Hamas, is now nearing his end,” he said.
