The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed at dawn Wednesday Tulkarem City and the nearby refugee camp of Nur Shams, declared them a closed military zone and carried out an aerial attack on Tulkarem refugee camp, amid clashes with resistance fighters.
According to local sources, a large number of Israeli troops escorted by some bulldozers and drones stormed Tulkarem City and the refugee camps of Nur Shams and Tulkarem and went on the rampage through their streets, destroying private and public property.
The Israeli forces encircled Al-Israa Hospital in the western neighborhood of Tulkarem and Thabet Thabet Hospital in the northeastern area of the city, the sources added.
The IOF also besieged Nur Shams camp from its four sides, announced a curfew in its streets until further notice, deployed snipers on rooftops of several tall buildings around it as well as on Mount al-Nasr and Mount al-Saliheen, raided homes in al-Maslakh neighborhood and interrogated their residents.
Several citizens were reportedly kidnaped from their homes and another one was brutally beaten by Israeli soldiers in Nur Shams.
Similar IOF raids took place in Tulkarem City and its refugee camp.
In a related incident, a number of young men were injured when an Israeli drone carried out an attack on citizens in Tulkarem camp.
Meanwhile, resistance fighters reportedly exchanged fire with Israeli soldiers and detonated explosive devices at their vehicles in Tulkarem and its refugee camps.
