Jewish settlers erected on Wednesday a number of electricity poles near the Tuqu town, southeast of Bethlehem, in preparation for establishing a new colonial outpost.
The director of the Office of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Committee in Bethlehem, Hassan Barijiyah, said that settlers, escorted by Israeli occupation forces (IOF), installed electricity poles in the Fathura area in Tuqu, in preparation for the establishment of a new colonial outpost, near the Jewish settlement carrying the same name of the Palestinian town and which is illegally built on Palestinian lands.
The IOF and settlers have been escalating their attacks in Tuqu area, assaulting farmers, demolishing their tents and agricultural facilities, and seizing their contents.
