The official spokesman for Hamas Movement, Sami Abu Zuhri, stressed the strength of the Palestinian resistance and its ability to withstand and continue the battle (against the Israeli aggression), no matter how long it lasts.
Speaking to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, at the Tunisian Forum organized by the People’s Movement, Abu Zuhri explained that “Palestine is part of the Muslim and Arab nation; therefore, whoever wants to eliminate Palestine has to eliminate the entire nation.”
He pointed out that “South Africa has succeeded in bringing the Israeli occupation to International Court of Justice (ICJ), for the first time in the occupation’s history,” saying that “the mere convening of ICJ is “a slap in the face of Israel.”
Leaders of various Palestinian resistance factions participated in the Tunisian Forum, that was held on Saturday and Sunday. It recommended the formation of a committee to follow up on its outcomes.
A member of the Executive Office of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ihsan Ataya, welcomed the forum and called it fruitful and unconventional, asserting that the Palestinian resistance will definitely triumph.
The Secretary-General of the People’s Movement in Tunisia, Zuhair Al-Maghzawi, stressed the demand to open Rafah border crossing to put an end to the grave humanitarian tragedy in Gaza.
For his part, the Hamas official Bassem Naim explained that the Israeli occupation failed to achieve its goals after 100 days of its ongoing aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Hussein Ghabris, member of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Lebanon, opined that “the victory of the Palestinians is so imminent despite Israel’s threats and unsupportive official and popular Arabic positions.”
