Massive demonstrations were held in several European countries on Saturday in solidarity with the Gaza Strip and against the Israeli genocidal war that claimed the lives of nearly 25,000 Palestinian civilians in the besieged coastal enclave.
Palestinian journalist Majed al-Zeer, who lives in Berlin, said that the pro-Gaza protests in the German capital “have been ongoing for 105 consecutive days in support of the Palestinian rights.”
Zeer also said that 19 similar rallies had been organized on Saturday across Germany, as well as in most European countries to condemn the European policy towards the Israeli aggression against Gaza.
Zeer affirmed that the German security authorities imposed different restrictions on pro-Palestine demonstrators, with no legal basis.
For his part, Ibrahim Ibrahim, coordinator of the demonstrations in Berlin, explained that the German police prevented the protesters from chanting slogans related to the Palestinians in the 1948 occupied territories and from carrying placards containing the historical map of Palestine.
In addition to other European cities, massive pro-Palestine protests were also staged on the same day in 115 Spanish cities, including Madrid.
