The Hamas official, Haroun Nasser al-Din, stressed that Israel’s persistence in enforcing its punitive policy of home demolition against resistance fighters in the West Bank, is a desperate attempt to stop the rising tide of resistance, especially after October 7.
Nasser al-Din said in a press statement on Sunday that Israel’s continuance of knocking down Palestinians’ homes in the West Bank is a crime against humanity, and a terrorist behavior added to its record of killing and destruction, stressing that these crimes will not succeed in undermining the strength of the Palestinian people.
The Hamas official pointed out that this policy reflects the deteriorating situation experienced by the Israeli occupation especially after its repetitive failures since October 7 and the subsequent strikes and qualitative operations in Gaza and the West Bank.
“Targeting civilians and destroying their property is a violation of all international laws and human rights conventions, and must be included in the lawsuits filed against Israel before international courts, “he added.
This came after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished at dawn Sunday the homes of the two martyrs of Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, Abdul Qadir al-Qawasmi and Nasr al-Din al-Qawasmi, in the city of Al-Khalil, in the southern West Bank.
The martyrs were shot dead after they carried out a shooting operation at a military checkpoint near Jerusalem on November 16.
