The Government Media Office has warned that the residents of northern Gaza started to face real famine after quantities of flour and rice ran out, holding the Israeli occupation regime and its allies responsible for their death from starvation.
In a statement on Monday, the Media Office said that the quantities of flour, wheat derivatives, rice and canned food that had remained in the north Gaza governorate since before the start of the genocidal war on Gaza ran out.
The Media Office added that this development means that 400,000 Palestinian citizens in northern Gaza have become threatened with real famine.
“The occupation regime has forced our people in the north Gaza governorate to grind animal feed and grains instead of the missing wheat, and they are now facing real famine in light of the occupation’s ongoing aggression and its tight siege on our Palestinian people,” the Media Office said.
The Media Office accused the Israeli occupation army of having barred any humanitarian aid from reaching the north Gaza governorate and the Gaza City governorate since it started its brutal war.
The Media Office also accused the Israeli army of killing dozens of civilains recently as they tried to obtain food in the provinces of Gaza City and north Gaza.
The Media Office held the Israeli regime, the international community, US president Joe Biden and his administration fully responsible for the starvation crime that is being committed against the residents of Gaza City and north Gaza.
It appealed to the free world’s countries and international organizations to move immediately and urgently to provide the civilians in Gaza City and north Gaza with their food needs and to work on ending the war.
