The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot dead a Palestinian young man at the Annab checkpoint in the north of Tulkarem in the West Bank, on Tuesday evening.
According to local sources, the Israeli soldiers at the checkpoint prevented a Palestinian ambulance crew from reaching the young man to provide him with medical assistance and left him to bleed to death.
Following the incident, the IOF closed the checkpoint in both directions of the road and blocked the movement of Palestinian citizens and vehicles.
The Israeli army justified the incident by claiming that the young man opened fire at Israeli soldiers in the area. The identity of the victim is still unknown.
