IOF conducts raids and arrests in West Bank

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) conducted a series of raids and arrests in various areas of the West Bank last night and early Monday morning, which were accompanied by clashes and confrontations with resistance fighters.

In Occupied Jerusalem, Israeli police forces arrested four young men from the towns of Al-Eizariya and Al-Issawiya, as well as Ras Al-Amud neighborhood.

Local sources reported that the police officers stormed Ras Al-Amud neighborhood and arrested the young man Ahmed Rakan after assaulting him, his mother, and his younger brother in their home.

They said that police also arrested the young man Abdul Rahman Da’na from the town of Al-Eissawiya, north of Occupied Jerusalem, and two brothers in Al-Ezariya, east of Occupied Jerusalem, after raid their home. The police forces also stormed Al-Matar neighborhood in Kafr Aqab.

In Jenin, a young man named Thaer Na’im Hamou ,21, was martyred after being shot by IOF soldiers in the abdomen. This came after intensive attempts to provide medical aid to him at the Hadaf medical center in the town of Yamoun, west of Jenin.

Resistance fighters launched attacks against the occupation forces and targeted them with improvised explosive devices during the incursion of the Israeli forces into the town of Yamoun. The occupation forces also stormed the village of Deir Abu Da’if, east of Jenin, where they were confronted with a hail of bullets. The IOF arrested two young men after raiding their homes in the village.

The IOF conducted a wide military campaign in Jenin on Sunday night, carrying out extensive destruction of infrastructure, public facilities, and citizens’ property. The resistance bravely confronted the invading IOF soldiers.

The occupation forces entered the city through Nasera Street, reinforced by more than 20 military vehicles, including 4 military D9 bulldozers, followed by additional reinforcements of vehicles. At the same time, sirens were activated in Jenin and its refugee camp.

The resistance confronted the IOF incursion, leading to armed clashes and the detonation of locally-made explosive devices against the IOF troops.

In a related context, the IOF besieged the governmental hospital in Jenin and targeted the maternity ward with gunfire. Tear gas was also fired in the hospital courtyard. The paramedic Ahmad Qandil was arrested after a brutal assault on him in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin.

In Nablus, the occupation forces invaded the city and the refugee camps of Askar Al-Jadeed and Balata. They stationed themselves in several areas, including the Martyrs’ Square in the city center, Habla neighborhood, the eastern market, and the vicinity of the refugee camps leading to the eruption of armed clashes.

Local sources reported intense clashes, including the throwing of homemade explosive devices at the occupation forces in the vicinity of the refugee camps of Askar Al-Jadeed and Balata, east of Nablus. An armed clash also broke out between resistance fighters and the occupation forces on the Schools Street in Balata camp.

The occupation bulldozers began destroying infrastructure and electricity poles during the incursion into Balata camp.

The IOF also deployed additional military reinforcements to the eastern area of Nablus, locals said, describing the incursion as the largest and widest in several months. Resistance fighters fired at the IOF soldiers as they withdrew from the Old City, and they targeted the occupation forces with a hail of bullets during their withdrawal from Balata and Askar camps.

The IOF arrested two young men following the invasion of the Askar Al-Jadeed camp in eastern Nablus.

In Qalqilya, the IOF stormed the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, and arrested 3 young men after raiding and searching their homes. The IOF also caused damage to a cafe in the center of Azzun, owned by the citizen Muheiddin Salim, and vandalized the contents of Abdullah Zamari’s house.

In Al Khalil, the IOF raided the city of Dura in al-Khalil and conducted search operations.

In Ramallah, the IOF stormed the town of Nabi Saleh, west of Ramallah, and arrested the young man Mohammed Basem Sadeqa after raiding and searching his house.

In Bethlehem, the IOF soldiers raided the Aida refugee camp in northern Bethlehem, raided several homes, vandalized their furniture, and attacked the residents while conducting field investigations, two young men from the camp were arrested.
