Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan has affirmed that his Movement insists on a comprehensive ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupation army from the entire Gaza Strip and the lifting of the siege.
In press remarks on Monday, Hamdan accused the Israeli occupation government of obstructing any agreement with the Palestinian factions that could lead to a comprehensive ceasefire.
“The Israelis want to continue their military attacks against the Gaza Strip and to retain the siege on it. They also do not want to achieve a ceasefire,” the Hamas official said.
“The mediators are working on achieving some kind of agreement, which should, from our point of view, fulfill what we have asked for,” he added.
