Israeli security officials have been voicing concerns over a possible flare-up in confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the West Bank.
The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said on Monday that the Military Intelligence Division of the Israeli occupation army and the Shin Bet Service provided a strategic warning to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government about an upcoming escalation in the West Bank.
The newspaper added that the holy month of Ramadan, in around mid-March, is expected to witness unprecedented fierce confrontations with the IOF because of the ongoing genocidal war on Gaza.
The Ynetnews cited Israeli security sources as anticipating an uprising and a widespread escalation across the West Bank in the coming days.
