A Palestinian young man was killed on Thursday after being shot by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during armed clashes in Deir Sharaf town, west of Nablus.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said it was informed by General Authority of Civil Affairs about the martyrdom of Mansour Jalal Mahmoud Al-Jaber, 28, from Jalqamous town northeast of Jenin city, at a military checkpoint in Deir Sharaf.
Local sources reported that Al-Jaber opened fire this morning at IOF soldiers and carried out a shooting operation before he was shot and seriously injured by the IOF at the military checkpoint. Ambulance crews were blocked from reaching and rescuing him. He was left on the ground bleeding to death.
Meanwhile, another man, 35, was shot and injured in the hand by IOF’s live bullets while he was in his car at the same checkpoint. He was transferred to hospital after being assaulted by the IOF along with another man who accompanied him.
