The Government Media Office (GMO) has said that the Israeli occupation army committed a horrific massacre within about six hours at dawn Monday in Rafah, southern Gaza, killing more than 100 civilians, mostly women and children.
About 80 of those martyrs were evacuated to hospitals, according to GMO.
In a press release on Monday, GMO described the Rafah massacre as “part of the genocidal war on Gaza that has been ongoing for 129 days,” accusing the Israeli occupation regime of having a premeditated intent to commit this horrific massacre.
GMO said that the Israeli army bombed and destroyed 24 homes and several mosque and facilities in a densely populated area in Rafah during the dawn hours.
GMO pointed out that 1,400,000 people, including 1,300,000 displaced citizens, live now in Rafah province in Gaza, which the Israeli army previously claimed to be a “safe zone.”
GMO held the US administration and the international community fully responsible for the mass killings and war of extermination that are being carried out by the Israeli army in Rafah and other areas of Gaza, accusing them of giving Israel the green light to commit its atrocities in Gaza and obstructing international efforts to end the war more than once.
The Media Office appealed to all countries of the free world to intervene immediately and urgently to curb Israel’s genocidal crimes in Gaza.
