Two Palestinian journalists died of their wounds on Monday as a result of Israeli airstrikes on their family homes in Rafah and Gaza, bringing the number of journalist martyrs to 128 since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year.

PIC reporter said that fellow journalist Ala’a Al-Hams, Umm Abdullah, succumbed to her critical injuries she sustained following the Israeli bombing of her family’s home in Al-Jeneina neighborhood, east of Rafah.

He recalled that journalist Al-Hams had been injured in a previous attack on her family’s home at the beginning of the war, but she recovered before the home was targeted again, leaving several members of her family either dead or wounded. The PIC reporter quoted her brother as saying his sister’s child, Abdullah, is receiving intensive health care after being injured in the Israeli bombing that targeted the family home east of Rafah.

This morning, reliable sources announced that journalist Muhammad Shaniura was martyred in a previous Israeli airstrike on a house in Tal al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City.

In a press statement, the Government Media office (GMO) in the Gaza Strip announced the martyrdom of journalist Angham Adwan, who was working for Libyan “February Channel”, after Israeli airstrikes hit her family’s home.

This brings the number of journalists who were killed by Israeli shooting, shelling, or bombing in the Gaza Strip since October 7, to 128.
