Clashes broke out on Friday in various areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem between Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and Palestinian youths.
In Jenin, an armed confrontation erupted between resistance fighters and IOF soldiers at the Dotan military checkpoint near the town of Ya’bad west of Jenin, and the attackers withdrew safely from the scene.
In Qalqilya, clashes broke out in the town of Kafr Qaddum east of Qalqilya, and dozens of citizens suffered from suffocation during the IOF suppression of the weekly march, which is held to protest Israeli settlement activity and in supports of Gaza and Palestinian prisoners.
In Ramallah, the IOF closed the entrances to the village of Deir Nitham, north of Ramallah, and prevented residents from entering or leaving.
In Bethlehem, the town of Tuqu’ witnessed clashes between young men and occupation forces, during which the IOF soldiers fired a barrage of tear gas bombs.
In Occupied Jerusalem, Israeli police forces closed the Shuafat checkpoint to the northeast of the holy city.
In a related context, the police forces arrested a young man after assaulting him near the Asbat Gate in Occupied Jerusalem.
