A Lebanese woman named Khadija Salman was killed and her daughter was seriously injured on Wednesday in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the town of Majdal Zoun in the governorate of Tyre, southern Lebanon.
According to the Lebanese official news agency, the martyrdom of Khadija Salman occurred as a result of the Israeli airstrike on Majdal Zoun, and her daughter was critically wounded.
Earlier today, the agency reported that ambulances had transported a person with moderate injuries as a result of the airstrike that targeted a house in Majdal Zoun to hospitals in the city of Tyre, and the Lebanese Civil Defense also reported another injury.
The Israeli forces intensified their airstrikes on the western sector of southern Lebanon, launching another airstrike that targeted the towns of Um Al-Tout and Shehim, following several attacks by drones on areas between Jabal Al-Buta and Marwahin, according to the same source.
In the early hours of Wednesday, the Israeli army opened heavy machine gun fire at the mountains of Labouna and Al-Alam in the western sector of southern Lebanon, according to the official news agency.
Since October 8, 2023, 205 members of Hezbollah have been martyred, along with 11 members of the Amal Movement, 12 members of the Islamic Jihad Movement, 12 members of Hamas, in addition to 41 Lebanese civilians, a soldier in the Lebanese army, and a member of the Internal Security Forces in the Israeli army attacks.
