Hordes of extremist Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday morning and later in the afternoon.
According to local sources, dozens of settlers entered the Mosque in groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under tight police guard.
A number of settlers escorted by police officers also gathered in the eastern area of the Mosque and embarked on performing Talmudic prayers.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police prevented Muslim worshipers from entering the Islamic holy site during the settler tours and only allowed in a few number of elderly Palestinians for prayers.
For its part, the Islamic Movement in Occupied Jerusalem urged the Palestinian masses to challenge the Israeli restrictions imposed on their entry to the Aqsa Mosque and frequent the holy site, especially during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
This came in a statement released on Monday by the Movement on the fifth anniversary of the Bab al-Rahma victory, when hundreds of Muslim worshipers rose up and reopened the Aqsa Mosque’s Bab al-Rahma prayer building after the Israeli occupation authority had closed it for 17 years.
