Groups of extremist Jewish settlers reportedly carried out on Saturday attacks on Palestinian citizens and property in different West Bank areas.

According to local media sources, a horde of settlers took over a public park in Qaryut village in southern Nablus.

Local activist Bashar al-Qaryuti told WAFA news agency that settlers seized a building under construction in the middle of the park, which the village council was building for entertainment purposes, adding that the settlers placed an Israeli flag over the building.

Qaryuti also said that those settlers gathered in the early morning hours on the outskirts of the village before entering swaths of land classified as B as part of their efforts to annex more Palestinian-owned lands in the area.

A group of settlers also took over a spring on the outskirts of Qaryut village and spread out on nearby hills under military protection.

Local sources said that some local residents from the village were injured when they tried to fend off the settlers and prevent them from seizing the spring.

In Salfit, other settlers assaulted a group of Palestinian farmers in an agricultural area near Kafr ad-Dik town.

Local sources told WAFA that settlers threw stones at two farmers and injured them as they tried to prevent them from destroying an agricultural room belonging to another farmer in Khirbet Susya area in the north of Kafr ad-Dik.

In Jenin, there was another settler attack on citizens and officials working for the village council of Dahr al-Abd in Ya’bad area.

Local officials reported that armed settlers brutalized employees working for the village council, detained them, seized their gear, prevented them from building an agricultural road, and forced them to leave the area at gunpoint.
