Hamas appreciated the statement issued by the Foreign Ministers of member states in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), calling for concrete steps to halt the aggression.

In its statement on Wednesday, Hamas urged the OIC and member states to translate the positions expressed in the final statement into effective measures that pressure Israel to cease its savage aggression against the Palestinian people.

“The magnitude of suffering and the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the criminal Zionist occupation army in the Gaza Strip necessitate immediate joint Arab and Islamic action to stop the aggression, provide food aid to our people who are subjected to a systematic starvation war, and ensure that the Nazi entity does not escape accountability for its unprecedented atrocities and massacres in our contemporary history,” it added.

An emergency meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, called for an immediate and unconditional cessation of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the opening of humanitarian corridors to deliver aid to the Strip without obstacles.

The meeting, in its extraordinary session to discuss the Israeli aggression on Gaza, also called for the provision of humanitarian, medical, and relief assistance, the provision of water and electricity, and the opening of humanitarian corridors to deliver urgent aid to the Gaza Strip without obstacles and in sufficient quantities.

The organization emphasized its categorical rejection and opposition by all means to any attempt to displace, expel, or forcibly transfer the Palestinian people from their land. The statement urged the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to expedite the investigation into the war crimes committed by the officials of the Israeli colonial occupation government against the defenseless Palestinian people.

The ministers emphasized the importance of bringing the criminals to international justice, expressing gratitude to South Africa, Comoros, Djibouti, Bolivia, Bangladesh, Venezuela, Chile, and Mexico for referring the situation in the State of Palestine to the International Criminal Court. The organization also called on member states that are members of the International Criminal Court to refer the crimes committed in Palestine to the court as soon as possible.
