The Human Rights Watch organization stated that countries must impose sanctions on Israel and prevent its arming in order to comply with the International Court of Justice’s order to deliver basic assistance and services to the Palestinians in Gaza.

The organization emphasized through its account on the “X” platform that countries must impose targeted sanctions and an arms embargo on Israel to comply with the order issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Rights Watch added that Israel’s blatant disregard for the International Court of Justice’s order puts the lives of millions of Palestinians at risk. It pointed out that Tel Aviv has not complied with the ICJ orders and has not worked to deliver aid and essential services to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In late January, the ICJ requested the Israeli occupation state to take all measures to prevent any acts that could be considered genocide. It also requested assurances that the Israeli army would not engage in any acts of genocide and that there would be no statements or public comments that could incite genocide in Gaza. Additionally, it called on Israel to take all necessary measures to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid and not to dispose of any evidence that could be used in the case against it.

For 163 consecutive days, the Israeli occupation army continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip with American and European support. Its aircraft bombard the vicinity of hospitals, buildings, towers, and the homes of Palestinian civilians, destroying them over the heads of their inhabitants. It also prevents the entry of water, food, medicine, and fuel.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has led to the death and injury of tens of thousands of Palestinians, in addition to the displacement of about 85% of the population of the Strip, according to the authorities of the Gaza Strip, international organizations, and bodies.
