IOF kidnaps several Palestinians in W. Bank and J’lem

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night and at dawn Monday a number of Palestinian citizens in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped a young man from Ya’bad town in Jenin after raiding his home.

The Israeli police also kidnaped a young man during his presence in an Israeli area in 1948 occupied Palestine. He was identified as Mohamed Obaidi from the town of Silat al-Harithiya in Jenin.

Last night, the IOF stormed different villages in Jenin province, raided several homes and clashed with local youths in the villages of Faqqu’ah and Jalbun.

In Tulkarem, Israeli forces patrolled streets in the city and kidnaped two citizens from Dhanabah suburb and Attil town.

The IOF also kidnaped four citizens during raids in as-Samu town, south of al-Khalil, and Tal village, southwest of Nablus.

In east Jerusalem, local sources said that Israeli police forces kidnaped about 20 citizens near Issawiya district as they were trying to enter the nearby town of az-Za’ayyem.

In a separate incident, a horde of extremist armed settlers assaulted on Sunday a group of Palestinian shepherds in Salfit in the central West Bank.

A local resident reported that 10 armed settlers attacked his sons as they were herding sheep in al-Matwi area and injured two of them, adding that the settlers also damaged cellphones belonging to his sons and stole 40 head of sheep from them.

He said that extremist settlers from the illegal outpost of al-Ras harass attacked local residents repeatedly in an attempt to force them to leave their homes in the area.

Meanwhile, a group of settlers put up incitement posters on the entrance gate of the UNRWA headquarters in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Occupied Jerusalem.

The posters call for shutting down UNRWA and contain threats against its staff, according to local sources.
